During a press conference with Italian prime minister Matteo Renzi, President Obama said his comments on Donald Trump would be "subdued."
That did not stop the conversation from turning to Trump -- specifically, his claims that the election is rigged.

Obama also criticized Trump's "flattery" of Vladimir Putin, calling it "unprecedented."
The press conference was held leading up to the yearly State Dinner. While Obama and Renzi jointly fielded questions, Renzi suggested even his fellow Italians were more interested in the U.S. election than their own.
The intensity of his comments was not lost on Twitter.
