After a Republican county headquarters in North Carolina was firebombed on Sunday, a Democrat rallied his party to raise money to rebuild the charred facility.
A GoFundMe page tied to David Weinberger titled "Dems help reopen a NC Repub office" raised $13,117 in 12 hours. Its original goal was $10,000. The page is no longer accepting donations.

Flammable liquid charred some furniture and political signs, police said. Vandals also wrote "Nazi Republicans get out of town or else" on an exterior wall. Nobody was injured in the incident.
The page linked to a tweet suggesting Democrats should lend an office to the GOP.
Hillary Clinton denounced the attack on Sunday.
Donald Trump tweeted "animals representing Hillary Clinton" were to blame.

The North Carolina Republican Party released a statement saying it will be increasing security at events and offices.
Gov. Pat McCrory called the incident an "attack on democracy," and Hillsborough Mayor Tom Stevens said it went "far beyond vandalizing property." Police are still investigating the incident.
Orange County, which includes Hillsborough, has five times as many Democratic voters as Republicans, The Charlotte Observer reports.
