A clown who stabbed a teenager in Sweden is still on the loose

The U.S. clown phenomenon has gone international.

A knife-wielding man in a clown mask stabbed a teenager in southern Sweden on Thursday, reports the New York Daily News

The teenage victim screamed for help, scaring the attacker off. The victim suffered a minor wound to his or her shoulder. The stabber has continued to elude authorities according to reports from Friday night.

Many Americans may be surprised (and terrified) to learn that Sweden has also been experiencing a spate of clown sightings in recent weeks.

Swedish authorities think that the clown phenomenon spread to Sweden through social media posts originating in the United States.

The Swedes seem to be equally disdainful towards clowns (thank goodness).

Some think they can escape. But apparently killer clowns know no boundaries.
