Federal investigators claim Russian hackers are behind the cyberattacks against a contractor for Florida's state elections that may have leaked the personal information of Florida voters, reports CNN.
The name of the contractor has yet to be confirmed.
Florida is the latest state to be hit with an election-related cyberattack. Illinois and Arizona databases were also illegally accessed and voter data was likely stolen.

American officials report that the hacks are not targeting parts of the voting system that would affect vote counts or how votes are cast, but rather registration systems where information is kept.
The Department of Homeland Security recently released a statement formally blaming Russia for hacking American political organizations, including the Democratic National Committee.
