Samsung announced Wednesday it was sending owners of the recalled Galaxy Note7 phone a fireproof package so they can return the phone safely.
The once highly-touted phone was discontinued Tuesday after it was found that even phones intended to replace recalled devices were suspected of starting battery fires.
The insulated box includes gloves, an anti-static bag and three more boxes.

The box warns that the device is not suitable to be shipped in a plane.
Samsung sending fireproof boxes to customers. Just awesome. "We can't figure it out, but here's a box to control the flames"

Some found the boxes hilarious.
BTW this is the same box I got a few weeks back when I returned my initial Note 7 device. Nothing has changed. https://t.co/cSU5d5eHQM

But some said Samsung has been doing this since the original recall.

This Samsung Nigeria tweet might be a little ironic, given the circumstances.
