Samsung announced Wednesday it was sending owners of the recalled Galaxy Note7 phone a fireproof package so they can return the phone safely.
The once highly-touted phone was discontinued Tuesday after it was found that even phones intended to replace recalled devices were suspected of starting battery fires.
The insulated box includes gloves, an anti-static bag and three more boxes.
A YouTube video shows the XDA Developers office unboxing the "crazy" fireproof package, even though they had already returned the phone.
The box warns that the device is not suitable to be shipped in a plane.
Samsung sending fireproof boxes to customers. Just awesome. "We can't figure it out, but here's a box to control the flames"— LSAClassOf2000 (@LorneEC3) October 12, 2016
Some found the boxes hilarious.
But some said Samsung has been doing this since the original recall.
This Samsung Nigeria tweet might be a little ironic, given the circumstances.
