A tragic video on FB shows a father telling his son his mother died from a heroin overdose

This harrowing video reminds us again of the heroin epidemic currently plaguing our country.

This (is) for any (and) every addict with children. Today I had to tell my 8-year-old son that his mommy died from a drug overdose last night.
Brenden Bickerstaff-Clark

Brenden Bickerstaff-Clark from Youngstown, Ohio, shared this video to social media, which has been viewed 11 million times. Bickerstaff-Clark, a recovering addict himself, wanted to show current addicts the devastating impact drugs can have on a family.

Yet some questioned his judgement to share so openly. Many commenters believed it was in poor taste to show his son learning about his mother's death on Facebook.

Ohio is one of the states most heavily affected by heroin and opioid use.

Bickerstaff-Clark shared this top comment on his own personal Facebook page.
