Kit Hoover teared up during "Access Hollywood Live" Monday morning while discussing Billy Bush and his suspension from the "Today" show because of his involvement in the recently release Trump tapes.
The tapes captured audio of Bush laughing and egging Trump on even as the real estate mogul talked about his attempts to seduce Bush's "Access Hollywood" co-host Nancy O'Dell.
Hoover, Bush's former co-host on the show, was visibly upset while sharing her thoughts on the incident while speaking with Natalie Morales.
"He was always in my corner," Hoover explained on the show. "I was just devastated to watch all this unfold because the Billy that I know -- and that a lot of people would day -- has the biggest heart of anybody, and he is a good person."
Morales added that Bush was there for her as soon as he found out that she would be replacing him on "Access Hollywood."
According to E! Online, Hoover and Morales reacted shortly after Savannah Gutherie, Tamron Hall and Al Roker address Bush's suspension on the "Today" show.
"We want to note one other thing: Pending further review of the matter, NBC News has suspended Billy Bush, who now hosts 'Today's' third hour, for his role in the conversation with Donald Trump," Gutherie noted.
TV personalities like Keith Olbermann chimed in on social media asking how NBC News could justify employing him after this.
It is still unclear whether Bush's suspension is indefinite or temporary.
BTW collateral damage here: not that I took Billy Bush seriously before, but how does NBC News now rationalize employing him?— Keith Olbermann (@KeithOlbermann) October 7, 2016
