It's World Smile Day. Here's how the rest of the world is celebrating.

Finally, some good news: The first Friday in October means World Smile Day.

Harvey Ball was the creator of the smiley-face symbol. He believed that "the smiley face knows no politics, no geography and no religion," according to the World Smile Day website.

"Harvey's idea was that for at least one day each year, neither should we."

And of course, people are taking to social media to celebrate World Smile Day.

Could you still be smiling next to a snake that size?
