Fans of HBO's new series "Westworld" can watch Episode 2 two days earlier than expected.
First 'Westworld' episode was a hit
"Westworld" premiered on October 2, and with 3.3 million viewers, it became HBO's most-watched premiere since the widely acclaimed "True Detective."
With only one episode released, the science fiction series had a 88% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Critics especially praised the cinematography and the acting.
The series is based on a 1973 film of the same name. It takes place in a Western theme park in a technologically advanced society. "Westworld" has an all-star cast, including James Marsden and Evan Rachel Wood.
The early release of Episode 2
The second episode of "Westworld" was originally scheduled to air on October 9, but to fans' delight, it was released two days early. The episode is available now on HBO Now, HBO Go, and HBO On Demand.
Entertainment Weekly reported that the early release was to avoid competition with Sunday's presidential debate between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton.
