WATCH | At a Hillary Clinton campaign event in Florida on Monday night, Vice President Joe Biden briefly spoke about Donald Trump's controversial comments that same day about veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder.
He did not hold back.
'He died. Mr. Vice President, I don't want the medal.' How many nights does that kid go to sleep seeing that image in his head, dealing with it?!
Biden's son, Beau Biden, died of brain cancer last year. Beau Biden served in the Army National Guard and earned a Bronze Star for his service, so Trump's veterans comments hit home for the vice president.
In his speech, he recounted what happened when he tried to pin a Silver Star on a veteran.
Biden also said Trump "was not a bad man, but his ignorance is so profound."
