Lindsay Lohan almost lost her finger in a freak boating accident

Lindsay Lohan underwent emergency surgery Sunday to save her finger after a freak boating accident, according to WENN.

The actress posted a photo of her bandaged finger to Snapchat with a message that said, "I almost lost my finger from the anchor. Well, I lost half my finger, thank goodness we found the piece of my finger ... I just had surgery to fix it."

She posted another shot of the injury on Instagram.

Her tweet read: "This is why I shouldn't try to help get the rope to anchor the boat."

TMZ.com reported that Lohan was in Turkey when she tried to pull up a boat anchor and got tangled in it.

The weight of the anchor pulled her into the water and sliced off the tip of her finger.

TMZ reported that her friends found the finger on the deck of the boat

Lohan was rushed to a local hospital where a plastic surgeon reattached the digit.
