It's official, Lady Gaga will headline the Super Bowl halftime show

Lady Gaga on Thursday announced via tweet that she will headline next years's halftime show.

Gaga's "Little Monsters" took to social media to share their excitement. 

WATCH  | This will be Gaga's second performance at a Super Bowl in as many years -- she sang the national anthem at the 50th Super Bowl in February 2016. 

Beyonce, Bruno Mars and Coldplay headlined the halftime show.

Not everyone is excited about the Grammy winner's Super Bowl appearance.

Gaga will release a new album, "Joanne," on Oct. 21.

Her past hits include "Poker Face," ''Bad Romance," ''Born This Way" and "Applause."
