Chris Christie might coach Donald Trump ahead of the next debate

Despite claiming victory on his Twitter feed, it's widely held, both in the media and online, that Donald Trump lost the first presidential debate of 2016 to his Democratic counterpart, Hillary Clinton?

So who are Trump's advisers lauding as the man to get their candidate ready before the next showdown in St. Louis? Why New Jersey Gov. and former Republican primary candidate Chris Christie of course.

According to CNN, Christie, a friend of Trump's, is one of the only members of Trump's inner circle that's always been straight with the real estate mogul. Apparently, Christie was brutally honest in assessing Trump's shortcomings during Monday's debate.

Christie is also supposedly an ideal candidate because he's one of the few trusted members of the Trump campaign who has recent experience on the debate stage, and against Trump himself no less.

Christie is adamant that no approach has been made.

Even those online were able to recognize Christie's post-debate candor.

This move, however, might not be such a popular one with the Trump himself. The real estate mogul was reportedly upset with his aides for admitting in the media that Trump had lost Monday's debate. It remains to be seen whether or not he'll be receptive to preparing for the debate in a different manner.
