"The Lion King" is getting a remake. Cue the outrage.
Entertainment Weekly reports Jon Favreau is on tap to direct the project, fresh off of making "The Jungle Book." That live-action remake of a beloved Disney animated feature was a huge hit, earning nearly $1 billion worldwide.
Details are limited at this point, but Disney said in a statement that the movie would be similar to "Maleficent" and "Cinderella," which both featured a mix of live-action and computer-generated animation.
Jon Favreau seemed pretty excited about the project.
But a lot of people were... not.
Some just weren't emotionally ready.
We legitimately can't tell if this is terror or excitement.

"How about Tron 3?"
Disney: No that's stupid.
"Live action Lion King?"
Wait. Who wants "Tron 3"?
