A photographer tried to catch a football at an Auburn game. It hit her in the face.

Ashley Ward made a bet that she could catch a kickoff. Then this happened.

Ward, a photographer with Auburn University's athletics department, made a bet with the football team's manager on Saturday that she could catch a kickoff that sailed out of the end zone.

It did not exactly go as planned, and it was all caught on national TV. But at least she wasn't hurt.

Auburn went on to win 18-13 over Louisiana State University.

And here it is again in slow motion.

Here's her side of the story.

Some Twitter users took cheap shots at the team after Ward's epic fail.
