Kim Kardashian is no longer 'on the fence' and said she won't be voting for Trump

Kim Kardashian is no longer "on the fence" about who she will vote for in November.

The reality TV star backed Hillary Clinton as early as August 2015, and of course, Kardashian declared her allegiance with a selfie of her and the Democratic presidential nominee.

But last week reports emerged saying Kardashian was thinking about voting for Donald Trump after a conversation with Caitlyn Jenner. Jenner reportedly encouraged her to reconsider voting for Clinton.

According to the Washington Post, buzz of Kardashian's potential change in loyalty stemmed from a quote attributed to an upcoming Wonderland magazine cover story.

The reported quote read: "At first I thought, 'Oh my god, I'm so Hillary [Clinton],' but I had a long political call with Caitlyn [Jenner] last night about why she's voting Trump. I'm on the fence."

That quote sparked confusion from friends and both candidates' camps so Saturday  Kardashian explained on her website why she was "on the fence" about her vote.

"There was a point when I wasn't 100% sure I was even going to vote in this election; I didn't want to vote blindly," Kardashian wrote on her website.  "But I also thought about how not voting would mean that I wasn't making my voice heard, so I decided to talk to my closest friends and family who I love and trust, to have an open conversation about politics."

Jenner encouraged her to do plenty of research before making a decision and to vote for the candidate whose policies aligned most with her values.

Kardashian said the two most important issues to her are "gun control and protecting women's rights to safe and legal abortion."

She continued: "I found that without a doubt, I stand with Hillary. I'm with her. I believe Hillary will best represent our country and is the most qualified for the job. This year, I'm not just voting for myself, but also for my children, and I took that into careful consideration when I made my decision."

Kardashian added that she believes both candidates have good intentions.
