NBA legend Kevin Garnett is retiring after 21 seasons



Minnesota Timberwolves legend Kevin Garnett has come to an agreement with his team that will see him sit out the season and retire, reports USA Today

An official announcement is expected shortly. 

That being said, Garnett's agency tweeted this, basically confirming it. 

Garnett is a favorite of many online. His retirement triggered an outpouring of emotion. 

Garnett is a star from an age gone by. There are only so many left. 

Kevin Garnett's resume includes such achievements as:

  • 15 All-Star selections
  • 12 All-Defensive selections
  • '03/'04 NBA MVP
  • '07/'08 NBA Champion
  • 26,071 regular season points scored
