The district attorney in Tulsa County, Oklahoma, is charging the officer who shot and killed Terence Crutcher earlier this week with first-degree manslaughter.
District Attorney Steve Kunzweiler filed the charges today against officer Betty Shelby, who shot and killed 40-year-old Crutcher on Sept. 16. Dashcam and aerial footage of the shooting and its aftermath showed Crutcher walking away from Shelby with his arms in the air.
This Twitter user points out that a charge doesn't mean much yet.
Some online don't think the charge is severe enough.
