Ex-NBA All-Star and Mayor Kevin Johnson beat the hell out of a guy who hit him with a pie

Sacramento Mayor and former NBA All-Star Kevin Johnson really, really doesn't like pie.

Johnson absolutely destroyed a protestor Wednesday night after said protestor pulled the pie from a bag, grabbed Johnson and smacked him in the face with the dessert, according to the East Bay Express

Protestors had apparently been following the mayor in response to charges of sexual misconduct that had recently resurfaced.

Spokespersons for the mayor claimed he was defending himself.

Sean Thompson, the protestor in question, might disagree. Eyewitnesses at the event said that Johnson tackled Thompson to the ground and proceeded to hit him in the face five to 10 times.

However, Thompson was the one lead away in cuffs after the altercation. He was arrested on suspicion of assaulting a public official. That charge is a felony in Sacramento.

The mayor took to Twitter to alert everyone he was okay.
