Rahami remained hospitalized Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2016, after a shootout the day before with police in New Jersey. (Union County Prosecutor's Office via AP, File)

The New York City bomber's wife is being brought back to the US

An FBI source has confirmed to Circa News that Ahmed Rahami's wife is being brought back to the U.S. by a government air marshal and will arrive in the country at JFK airport.

Officials say that Aziza Bibi Rahami was questioned in the United Arab Emirates by the FBI on Tuesday.

"She is cooperating fully and is expected to arrive tonight," the source said.

She had left the U.S. for Pakistan in June. She was scheduled to return this week, but was detained in the UAE.
