Gutiérrez: Eating Skittles at the IRS "Impeachment" Hearing

WATCH  | Donald Trump Jr. should have seen this coming.

Rep. Luis Gutiérrez (D-Ill.) snacked on a bag of Skittles at a hearing on whether or not to impeach IRS Commissioner John Koskinen on Wednesday. And he launched into a speech criticizing Trump Jr.

Trump Jr. recently compared refugees to poisoned Skittles.

Every now and then I'll get a bad Skittle, but I don't ban them all because I get one. Most are still pretty delicious.
Rep. Luis Gutiérrez

Gutiérrez even offered Koskinen some Skittles, saying "after this reckless and bitter hearing, you can get a small amount of sweet candy to improve the rest of your day."

Skittle maker  Wrigley Company responded to the controversy.

Gutiérrez also asked Koskinen about the legality of using money from a nonprofit for personal legal problems, which Donald Trump is accused of doing with the Trump Foundation.
