What's the reason?
There's a lot of speculation about the reasons for the couple's divorce. One rumor hints that Gwyneth Paltrow might be behind it. According to that rumor, Pitt mentioned his ex's name while sleep-talking. He also reportedly told Jolie to try weight loss tips from Paltrow's lifestyle website, Goop.
A second rumor also points at the possibility of an affair, this time linked to Marion Cotillard, Pitt's co-star in the upcoming film "Allied." A source told Life & Style Magazine that Jolie was jealous over the co-stars' relationship.
A third rumor
The third rumor circulating says that Jolie disagreed with Pitt's parenting methods. "We're told there was no alleged 'third person.' Her decision to file was solely over Brad's interaction with their children," said TMZ (per an anonymous source). TMZ's source also cited potential substance abuse and anger issues.
According to TMZ, Jolie is asking for physical custody of the couple's children, wanting only joint legal custody with Pitt. She is not requesting any spousal support in the divorce.
At the time, these rumors are unconfirmed.
Russian hookers & a private eye?
Page Six reported that Pitt cheated on Jolie with Russian hookers. According to their source, Jolie suspected that Pitt was cheating on the set of "Allied," so she hired a private eye.
"The P.I. discovered that not only was Pitt cheating on his wife of two years with Cotillard but also with Russian hookers while boozing it up with coworkers," said Page Six's source.
Page Six also reported that Jolie was tired of the Hollywood scene, while Pitt wanted to continue making movies.
