WATCH | Chelsea Clinton speaks with Fox 28 reporter Ben Garbarek
Chelsea Clinton is pitching in, making the case to younger voters to support her mom. On the same day as her mother rejoined the campaign trail after a three-day respite to treat her pneumonia, Chelsea Clinton spoke to a crowd of volunteers in Westerville, Ohio.
"She's clearly feeling a lot better," the younger Clinton said about her mother's health. "I'm grateful she took a few days off to rest.
"I've had pneumonia twice. It's awful so I'm glad she finally took her doctor's advice."
Chelsea said that now that she has two children of her own, she's become more passionate about early childhood education, child care and college affordability -- and that her mother shares those concerns.
"She's the only one talking about serious issues that seriously affect American families, particularly those of us who have young children.
"I hope that'll matter to voters here in Ohio and I hope that it'll matter she's been working on those issues literally longer than I've been alive."
