The University of Oklahoma Sooners football team had a rough, tough afternoon on Saturday at the hands of University of Houston. At the top of their problems, was a missed 53-yard field goal attempt that Houston cornerback Brandon Wilson caught and took a whopping 109 yards (technically 100 yards) back across the field for a spectacular touchdown.
Houston trumped Oklahoma 32-23 after taking a big lead and managing to hold on to it later in the game.
The details behind the play
Wilson just barely kept his heel inside the back line of the Houston end zone to catch the missed field goal and then took off like a lightening bolt down the right side of the field. He ended up out-running the Oklahoma defense and some of his own teammates (who accidentally came in the way) to make it to the OU end zone.
Houston, we don't have a problem. (See what I did there? NASA & football humor? Unbelievable!)— Jon Acuff (@JonAcuff) September 3, 2016
