Lena Dunham apologizes over 'misogynistic' Odell Beckham comments

Lena Dunham has apologized for the controversial remarks she made about New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr.

"I owe Odell Beckham Jr an apology," she wrote in an Instagram post on Saturday.

The Instagram apology comes after the internet blasted the "Girls" actress for how she retold her story about sitting next to Beckham at the Met Gala in an interview with Amy Schumer.

"It was so amazing because it was like he looked at me and he determined I was not the shape of a woman by his standards. He was like, 'That's a marshmallow. That's a child. That's a dog.' It wasn't meanhe just seemed confused."

Dunham went on by saying the two did not talk, because Beckham much rather have scrolled through Instagram, "than have to look at a woman in a bow tie."

Well, let's just say the Internet was not happy about Dunham's comments, thus collectively ripping her a new one.
