Lil Wayne had fans shook on social media Friday night when the Young Money rapper eluded to calling it quits in a string of tweets after police showed up to his home following reports of a shooting, which turned out to be a hoax.
This is the second time in over a year that someone has prank called 9-1-1 to report a shooting at his home in Miami.
Weezy took to Twitter to thank the officers, but his next tweet had fans shocked.
I AM NOW DEFENSELESS AND mentally DEFEATED & I leave gracefully and thankful I luh my fanz but I'm dun— Lil Wayne WEEZY F (@LilTunechi) September 3, 2016
"I leave gracefully and thankful I luh my fanz but I'm dun," he tweeted out.
Naturally, fans understood the tweet to mean he's retiring, which did not go over well.
Weezy was quick to (sorta) clear things up, tweeting out that he's "good" and not to trip.
Prayers up 4 whatever u may be enduring right now this to will pass & may u find PEACE🙏🏾 I will always be a fan of your work🙌🏾— Missy Elliott (@MissyElliott) September 3, 2016
you can't retire wayne! We still need c5. Don't let birdman defeat you and the fans. you were supposed to retire at 35— Brian Sporman (@BrianSporman) September 3, 2016
It's still unclear if Lil Tunechi's done with rap. Let's just hope it's no time soon.
