Watch his comment.
The founder of the Latinos for Trump group, Marco Gutierrez, warned that "you're gonna have taco trucks on every corner" as a consequence of Mexican immigration to the U.S. This led to a huge outpouring of snarkiness, sarcasm and silly questions on social media afterward.
Mexican-born Gutierrez made the comment on MSNBC's "All In With Chris Hayes" Thursday night, during a conversation with guest host Joy Reid and New York state Sen. Adriano Espaillat, who was on the other side defending Hispanic culture.
The background to his taco comment
Guitierrez, Reid and Espaillat were all having a discussion regarding Trump's tone on immigration and how it might be alienating people, when Gutierrez referred to 'problems' in the country related to illegal immigration.
One such problem going forward, he said, could be a taco truck on every corner.
Hillary's Deputy Director of Voter Outreach & Mobilization weighed in.
Many people know I'm a big Hillary supporter. But the thought of a taco truck on every corner could push me to the lying narcissist.— Rob Reiner (@robreiner) September 2, 2016
Maybe voters will switch candidates?
Regardless of your political affiliation, this was a valid question.
Me hearing "There'll be taco trucks on every corner": Did he just... ??!??— Ted Leo (@tedleo) September 2, 2016

One thing's for sure, this whole conversation was terrific marketing for tacos themselves.
