Many millennials are quitting their jobs, but often with good reason.
According to a recent report by Gallup, 50 percent of those in the millennial generation (those born between 1980 and 1996) do not plan to be with their company one year from now.
Yes, half of the generation plan to bow out sometime soon -- that's a ginormous number of people, especially given that millennials will make up 75 percent of the workforce by 2025 by some estimates.
Why is everybody hopping around?
- 71 percent of millennials are either not engaged or actively disengaged at work
- Six in 10 millennials are open to different job opportunities right now
- Half of millennials said they would consider taking a job elsewhere for a 20% raise or less
Many millennials also plan to retire later than previous generations. Work 'til you drop.
