Marc Ching is on a mission to expose the torture at slaughterhouses providing dog meat in Asia. He shared his story with Circa correspondent Stephanie Abrams, along with videos captured while posing as a meat buyer this summer.
Ching owns the Petstaurant in Sherman Oaks, California and founded the Animal Hope and Wellness Foundation, which rescues local abused animals. His foundation has taken their rescue mission to Asian dog meat markets, with the goal of outlawing dog torture.

They believe if they torture this dog it makes them stronger, because the dog survived this horrific ideal
It's hard to believe that torture is actually part of the way some slaughterhouses prepare dog meat.
While not all who eat dog meat believe in this, Ching says the tradition stems from the belief that eating a dog who survives torture prior to slaughter will make them stronger.

Ching continues to appeal to the Chinese government and other governments throughout Asia to discuss the issue. He hopes to share his undercover videos to prove to legislators that dog torture should be outlawed.
