Tom Brady is back on the field after a "silly accident" with scissors, according to USA Today.
He returned to practice Tuesday after cutting his thumb with scissors.
Brady said he sliced his right thumb on a pair of scissors before Thursday's preseason game against the Chicago Bears.
"I was ready to go, had everything on, and I was just trying to get something out of my shoe," Brady told ESPN's Mike Reiss. "The scissors slipped. Just a silly accident."
Brady added that when the accident happened, he let out a pretty loud word he wouldn't repeat in front of his kids.
Brady said Coach Bill Belichick suggested he just take it easy because the team wasn't playing in a regular season game.
He added that he hopes to play in Friday's game against the Carolina Panthers.
