Both vice presidential candidates hit the campaign trail on Monday, which gave Tim Kaine the chance to explain some of his more controversial positions, such as his personal views opposing abortion despite running as a Democrat.

Kaine was spotted playing with a band and enjoying a local beer after the event.
Meanwhile, Pence backed Donald Trump's foreign policy plan, which involves "extreme vetting" and a ban on Muslims entering the country from certain parts of the world.
Pence called Trump's security tactics "of paramount importance."
'Radical Islamic terrorism'
Pence also said he wanted "a process where we ensure that the people coming to America want to be a part of America."
He also criticized President Obama's refusal to use the phrase "radical Islamic terrorism," which Obama has insisted is not a clear term.
