The Disability Film Challenge winning films

The Disability Film Challenge is an annual event where all contestants have 48 hours to complete production on their short film.  Each film must include an actor, writer, director or crew member with a disability. The winners are set up with mentors in each category (past mentors include Peter Farrelly and Shawn Ryan). 

The films will screen on August 19th at 5pm at the TCL Chinese Theaters 6 upstairs in the lobby.

This past year's winners are below.

The Disability Film Challenge winning films

First up is the winner for Best Film. "Left & Loosey" is a black and white humorous noir film. Directed by Zico Abrar and produced by David Harrell.

The Disability Film Challenge winning films

"{in}visible" won the award for best filmmaker. Rosser Goodman, the director, met with mentor Shawn Ryan writer/ executive producer for "The Shield" as a winning prize.

Diana Elizabeth Jordan, and actress with cerebral palsy won the best actor award for her work in "Boxed Out."
