Deep-fried Twinkies coming soon to an oven near you

Hostess Brands, the maker of signature snacks like Ding Dongs and the Honey Bun, announced Friday it's releasing its own version of deep-fried Twinkies.

The sweet, cream-filled treat is doused in cake funnel batter and oil, then frozen and delivered straight to the hands of consumers.

For $4.76 per box of seven, fried food lovers will be able to enjoy Deep Fried Twinkies from the comfort of their home, instead of the local fair or carnival. Although, we'll still grab some there too.

The Deep Fried Twinkies will first be available at Wal-Mart, starting Friday, Aug. 12.
