The U.S. women's gymnastics team lived up to all the hype Tuesday, taking home the gold and finishing nearly 10 points ahead of second-place Russia, according to The Washington Post.
The U.S. women finished with a team score of 184.897. They were followed by Russia with a score of 176.688 and China with a score of 176.003.
Despite trouble on the beam, Aly Raisman, Laurie Hernandez and Simone Biles pulled through.

Raisman and Biles both nailed one of the toughest vaults of the day, according to USA Today.
Then, Gabby Douglas matched her best score of the year on the uneven bars and Madison Kocian achieved the best score of her career with a 15.933 in the same event.
After the final scores came out, the group huddled and revealed their team name: "The Final Five."
