Google account manager found dead in woods

A 27-year-old Google account manager was found dead in the woods near her mother's home in Princeton, Massachusetts, Sunday.

Vanessa Marcotte, who lives in New York City, was visiting her mother over the weekend and went missing after going out for a run, according to CNN.

Marcotte's family reported her missing around 3 p.m. when she didn't return home from her run.

A canine unit found Marcotte's body around 8 p.m. in a wooded area on the same street where her mother lives.

At this point, the Princeton Police Department is investigating Marcotte's death as a homicide.

In a press conference, Massachusetts District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr. stressed that the investigation was still in its early stages.
