See the stunning photographs from 'National Geographic Travel Photographer of the Year'



One of the most prestigious and prominent photography contests in the world, the winners of the 2016 National Geographic Travel Photographer of the Year competition were announced recently. They were specially chosen from more than 10,000 entries as amongst the best travel photographs of the year. 

The grand prize, first place distinction went to Anthony Lau from Hong Kong for his spectacular shot of a Mongolian horseman charging his horses through the snow in Inner Mongolia. Lau won a seven day 'Polar Bear Photo Safari' for two at Churchill Wild Seal River Heritage Lodge. Below are this year's winners and honorable mentions.
