Clickbait headlines are designed to make readers curious, but they can also be pretty annoying, and sometimes misleading.
As it's done in the past, Facebook is again changing its newsfeed algorithm to make it more difficult for clickbait headlines to trend.
In a press release, Facebook said it wants to eliminate "clickbait" to focus on what's "interesting and relevant" instead.
The social media giant will tweak its newsfeed system to work similar to how email spam filters work, changing the formula it uses to rank trending stories to cut down on "spammy" stories.
Instead of misleading headlines, Facebook users might get trending stories that mean something.
