DID SOMEONE SAY NEW EMOJIS!?

Here's a preview of the upcoming iOS 10 emojis. This latest version of Apple's glyph language comes baked inside the beta 4 test release of iOS 10 for iPhone and iPad and includes more than 100 new characters, reports 9to5Mac.

The most notable emoji additions are a pride flag; single-parent family variations; female police officers, athletes, and construction workers; and a water gun, which has now replaced the pistol.

(Turns out, the Second Amendment doesn't guarantee you the right to bear gun emojis on your iPhone.)

The basic smiley-face emojis have also been tweaked slightly -- though just slightly enough to prompt people to angry-tweet about them.
