Bikini baristas could be driven out of town for serving more than lattes

Who knew that the scenic, family-friendly city of Edmonds, Washington, would be the hotbed of public indecency. One particular bikini barista coffee stand could soon be driven out of town.

The phenomenon of bikini-clad females serving coffee started trending in the Seattle area in the early 2000s.  The city pointed to Java Juggs, saying the former coffee stand was busted for prostitution and didn't have necessary city regulations keeping it in check.

Various chains of bare-istas have spread coast to coast.

The city of Edmonds cracked down on one in particular named Beehive Espresso. The city council is revisiting the public indecency policy and will be voting on the issue this week.
