Instagram now lets celebrities filter hateful comments (and mentions of Trump)

There will be no more posting of certain four-letter words in the comment section of Chrissy Teigen's Instagram. Well, and one five-letter word: Trump.

The model/social media star posted to Twitter Tuesday night to show the world that she is enabling Instagram's new anti-abuse system to ban users from using words like "slut" and "c*nt" in comments on her posts.

According to Teigen's screenshot, she'll be filtering her 'gram of any mention of the Republican Party's 2016 presidential nominee, as well. Sad!

The Instagram comment filtering that Teigen showed off in her tweet, spotted by The Verge, is the first we've seen of the anti-abuse system that should be eventually available to not-so-famous users as well, Instagram told The Washington Post last week.

The filtering system is a first preventative-type online abuse solution among the major social media networks.

All Instagrammers today have the ability to delete comments that other users leave on their posts, and the same goes on Facebook.

Twitter, the social media network most famously battling with hate speech and bullying, only offers a "Report" function for abuse.

Would you filter your comments?
