Longtime buddies Jake Kehlenbeck, Alex Alfaro and John Grellner started making Bucket Tees because they wanted to "make pockets great again."
They were surprised when they researched big-pocket tees and there were none on the market. So they made a few prototypes, wore them in public, and they were a huge hit.
Buckettees.com has only been up for a little over a year and already they've sold 1,000 t-shirts.
All this after Jake and Alex decided to quit their day jobs to focus on making the brand a "great customer experience" as well as improve the quality of the shirts.
Surprisingly, we get a lot of interest from women. Even though they have guy sizes and cuts, the girls still buy them.
The guys say they've yet to put a dollar into marketing and still run the company out of Alex's spare bedroom. Social media shares and word-of-mouth is what drives sales as of right now.
So far they only make men's shirts, but they are planning on launching their women's line very soon.
Now you can add piglets to the ongoing list of what you can fit in a Bucket Tee!
