President Obama did not hold back.
In a press conference Tuesday, he departed from his usual careful, measured diplomatic-ese: "The Republican nominee is unfit to serve as president."
I said it last week, and he keeps on proving it.
The remark came after Trump's highly controversial comments critical of the family of Capt. Humayun Khan, who was killed in Iraq in 2004.
The president also called on Republican leaders to join him in denouncing Trump, saying their condemnations of the Khan comments "ring hollow" if they continue to endorse him.
Here's the Trump campaign response.
