Meet Brooke, Rainn, and Tai Sheppard: Three sisters that were homeless in New York City are now heading to the Junior Olympics.
Their adolescent years have been tough. Three years ago, their brother was murdered. Last year, their mother couldn't afford the rent, so they were evicted.
After a year and a half of training, they're now positioned for new heights. They'll soon be competing at the Junior Olympics in Texas, hoping for recognition and to be noticed for athletic scholarships.
A Congresswoman from New York's 9th District in Brooklyn, NY.
