okay @MissTeenUSA ... The jig is up. I know y'all aren't going to keep someone who likes to use "nigger" casually. pic.twitter.com/vJeWk3a9S4

Karlie Hay was Miss Teen USA for barely a day before her past came back to haunt her.
After winning the pageant Saturday, the Texas teen came under fire after it was discovered that tweets from what appeared to be her personal Twitter account, @kaayharris, included liberal use of the n-word.
Miss Teen USA appeared to stand by its decision, saying in a statement, "As Karlie stated, she was in a different place in her life and made a serious mistake she regrets and for which she sincerely apologizes."
Here's the moment Hay was crowned.
Hay also apologized for "language she was not proud of" on Instagram.
Wow how can we choose from such a diverse bunch https://t.co/0a4JHbP465

But many were already upset by the lack of diversity in the pageant, and they aren't letting up.
#MissTeenUSA: Karlie Hay admits to offensive tweets. But don't worry, she's white, and young, so it doesn't count.😇 https://t.co/CmRNNi4L1v

Why would they strip a racist white girl of her Miss Teen USA title? She's literally the perfect example of what America's really about

The environment got a little harsh.
