At a small gathering in a suburban home just north of Seattle gunfire erupted, leaving three people dead and a fourth person injured early on Saturday morning, police said.
An officer from the local Mukilteo Police Department said that the suspect was apprehended three counties away from the shooting.
Approximately 15-20 people were in the home at the time of the gunfire and all have now been interviewed by the police.
"Our community has suffered a great loss tonight," Mayor Jennifer Gregerson said. "There were many young people who saw and heard things that no one should ever experience.
The shooting occurred in Chennault, a neighborhood in Mukilteo, 25 miles north of Seattle. No motive has been given for the shooting thus far.
