#BlackWomenDidThat celebrates the accomplishments of black women



The hashtag is on fire right now, particularly amongst women of color online. 

After Hillary Clinton became the first woman to be nominated for president at the DNC Thursday, the hashtag first surfaced on Twitter to raise awareness about the accomplishments of black women. 

With Oprah, Queen Bee (Beyonce), Condoleeza Rice and so many more, the list of prominent, successful and influential black women who make the world a better place is only growing. Twitter has been buzzing with mentions of these inspiring women since Thursday. 

Whitney Houston won two Emmy Awards, six Grammy Awards and 30 Billboard Music Awards.

The Williams sisters, Venus and Serena. Combined they've won more Grand Slam titles than anyone.

The first lady went to Princeton followed by Harvard Law School.
