Remember Samuel L. Jackson's death scene in "Deep Blue Sea"? LL Cool J sure does!
LL Cool J discusses what it was like to put out his song, "I Need Love." He says if you're secure enough to make a ballad or a love song, then that's powerful. "If you can make a record that comes from your heart people know it," said LL Cool J. "It's different from selling out. Authenticity is what it's about to me."
"One thing I've learned about having a career is that you can't compare yourself at your current point to where you were in the past," said LL Cool J. "I'm sure there are people out there who think I can't make a great record, and that really fuels me and motivates me to make a great record. I'm just hungry."
LL Cool J sits in the backseat with Circa to talk about his career and the concept of giving back.
"I've said in the past I'm giving back, but I'm changing that to just sharing now because giving back sounds like I took something, but I didn't take anything. We grew together," said LL Cool J.
