Chipotle Mexican Grill announced Thursday it's officially branching out from burritos and bowls, and into the burger business.
The fast food chain, which has spent the last few months fighting plummeting sales following an E. Coli outbreak, is opening a Tasty Made hamburger joint this fall.
The company said its first Tasty Made burger restaurant will open in Lancaster, Ohio. The menu will only feature burgers, fresh-cut french fries and milkshakes.
Sorry, no off-menu plans to get your burger wrapped in a quesadilla, instead of a bun -- yet.
I can't imagine walking into a chipotle & being like "I would prefer a burger to a burrito" but this life is full of surprises.— RJ (@RJaliciouss) July 28, 2016
Such is life.
