TSA will let you bring mummified heads in your carry-on

So you can't carry on a bottle of shampoo or tube of toothpaste more than three ounces.

But don't worry, your mummified head of an iconic philosopher is fine -- as long as you package, label and declare it properly.

That's what the TSA told a Twitter user using their new @AskTSA handle on Tuesday.

Jeremy Bentham was an English philosopher who pioneered "utilitarianism" (the idea that the best action is the one that leads to the most happiness for the most people). He died in 1832.

But don't worry. Jeremy's head doesn't get out much. University College London keeps it in a monitored, climate-controlled room.

That might be unusual, but it's better news for the TSA than the recent employee who was charged with sneaking videos up a woman's skirt.
